Yes it sounds heroic to be self made because you treaded a path that no one else could help you with. but it is foolish to not seek guidance when available. Ultimately life is all that you touch and see and your life experience is what sense you are able to make out of it. It is a matter of perspective, the broader your perspective the richer the life experience.
